bulletOur thanks to Mark Steen and Bob Harnett for inviting their "Circle of Friends" golfers and guests to a special "Circle of Friends" Friendship in Action Luncheon in Bloomington. (See the August 16th listing.)
bulletGOOD NEWS: Landwehr Construction of St. Cloud was the first to provide matching funds for a portion of the pledges for the St. Cloud FIA
bulletOur thanks to American Heritage Bank of St. Cloud and the Majors Sports Cafe's of the Twin Cities; whose generous provisions of professional facilities represents a huge cash savings for this years events.
bulletOther good news includes the co-sponsorship of breakfasts for the St. Cloud FIA event by Patty Yarbrough of McKay's Family Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Mitsubishi of St. Cloud.
bulletWe've added a parent speaker sample to give a "taste of the event". You can click this link or the permanent link on our "How It Works" page.
bulletWe appreciate Norton and Elsa Sorenson for their assistance to Camp New Hope director Jamie Ryan in preparing for the Northern Minnesota event.
bulletSome of our staff have made some very "interesting invitations" to upcoming FIA events. We hope to have some "fun" surprises at this years events. Watch here for developments.

Special Attention:

bulletMatching funds to double our guests pledges. As our friends and volunteers secure these plans we can start posting them on the website along with any pre-event foundational or "kick-off" pledges so you can watch the progress towards upcoming FIA events in your area.
bulletIf your service club, church, other organization would like to reserve a special section at an FIA, contact Verlyn at your earliest convenience for arrangements.
bullet"Advertising to Underwriting Conversions" is a new program Verlyn would like to discuss with businesses. It could be used to publicize camp tours, events and volunteer opportunities. (Example: a business has a regular news sponsorship on radio or television and might consider switching their regular commercial to an public service announcement for the camps with a tag line: "this message for Friendship Ventures has been underwritten by their friends at Name of Business.")
