Plan a Lakeside Outing for Your Family or Clients. Affordable day, evening and overnight outings are available year-round at Camp Friendship and Eden Wood Center through a program we call "Sojourn". Sojourn is designed to give people with developmental disabilities an opportunity to relax and vacation with their friends, families and care providers.
Who Can Participate?
Sojourn is open to individuals from private homes, foster care homes, residential
facilities or SLS/SILS homes, and to organizations that serve people with disabilities.
Activities
A Sojourn experience with Friendship Ventures depends upon the needs and preferences of
your group. Some groups come for a day-long outing that includes swimming, picnics and
nature walks, or for an evening cookout. Others plan a weekend stay that leaves more time
for relaxing, fishing and playing cards. Go to About Camp

Staffing
Our staff will assist your group in planning, scheduling and leading activities such as
crafts, fishing, games, and sports. An activity leader is assigned to each Sojourn group.
Your group must include at least one adult care provider for every four clients.
Options
For additional fees, any or all of the following may also be part of your group's Sojourn:

Meals
If your group would like more time to relax, we will do the cooking for you. Nutritious and delicious meals are served buffet style, and can accommodate most special dietary needs. -
Overnight Accommodations
Your group is welcome to stay overnight in our modern cabins or our resort cabins at Camp Friendship and Eden Wood Center. Most cabins have spacious living areas and semi-private sleeping quarters. -
Challenge Course
Programs.
Add some adventure to your Sojourn with a challenge course program. Our trained staff will guide your group through these courses. Most course elements are accessible to people with disabilities. If you are interested in the challenge course program, please contact Friendship Ventures or check the appropriate box on the reservation request form. Additional fees apply for this program.

When your reservation request is received, a staff member will call you. We will
send a letter of confirmation that includes information on check-in and
check-out times.
All fees must be paid in full within 30 days of your Family Camp / Sojourn
vacation. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
All advance
fees paid will be refunded in full if notice is received in the Friendship
Ventures office 30 days prior to reservation dates. If less than 30 days
notice is received, all but the reservation deposit will be refunded.
