Who We Serve

Friendship Ventures serves children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.

Participants may also have physical disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), Down syndrome, seizure disorders, sight or hearing loss or a combination of disabilities. We serve many people with severe or multiple disabilities who have no other care options.

Siblings and friends are welcome to attend, too.

We also serve communities.

  • Communities with limited resources have access to high-quality respite services and recreational programs.
  • Social workers, residential services directors and other care providers have cost-effective life enrichment options to offer their clients.
  • Staff members and volunteers gain experience with and an appreciation for people of diverse abilities.
  • Schools and their communities become more diverse and aware of the value of people with disabilities as our participants build social skills and independence, allowing greater participation in the life of their communities.

Friendship Ventures serves people regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, political beliefs, sex, religion, disability or national origin.
