Working at a Friendship Ventures site etches happy memories on your heart. Now you have a chance to have your name permanently etched at Camp Friendship!
A project exclusive to Friendship Ventures staff alumni will help complete and customize the underpass to Uncle Fogy’s Nature Center at Camp Friendship. Since 2007, the concrete walls outside this tunnel have been transformed from plain concrete to a beautifully painted landscape of trees and blue skies.
Underpass Mural Project
When the program center was completed in 2000, the underpass was constructed to allow staff and campers to safely make their way to the Uncle Fogy Nature Center. The underpass includes huge expanses of concrete, which have been beautified with a mural. The artwork continues with the addition of more trees and portraits of staff and participants.
Led by volunteer professional artist Vigee Blue, who created the mural, Camp Friendship is continuing the update, adding names of staff members who make donations to fund scholarships for participants. With a donation of $25, you can add your name or that of another staffer to the wall. Your donation will be used to send someone to camp whose family can’t afford the cost and allow them the chance to make happy memories of their own.

The mural is the creation of local professional artist Vigee Blue, who is volunteering her time to the project. Although she collects inspiration from all genres of art, she most focuses on realism, the style of the mural underpass.
